Architectural Detailing

Here are some of our architectural designs and detailing work. As the work consists of functional and utilitarian objects, I have made brief notes about the idea or inspiration, the thought process and work that went behind developing the final product. Lotus Grill (2005)

"The idea for this wrought iron grill came from the Goa sequence of the movie, the Bourne Supremacy... The imagery we developed was the exuberant fusion of an exotic lotus and butterfly--a gushing fountain of energy!"---Nalin K. Nirula

Material: Wrought iron grillwork, finished with automotive enamel paint.

Elephant Head Pull Handle (2005)

"For the design I took inspiration from the majestic elephant for its wisdom and strength energies. This seemed very fitting as the small pull handle would be pulling the load of heavy shutters!"---Nalin K. Nirula

Material: Cast metal alloy.

Overall Size: 4.5 cms x 13.25 cms (1.75 inches x 5.25 inches). Length of the elephant's trunk (the 'pull' portion of the handle): 10 cms (4.5 inches). Click for more...
